Welcome to Buttercross Theatre Productions, a community-focused performing arts organisation based in Witney, Oxfordshire. We provide a welcoming, inclusive space where people of all ages and experience levels can explore their creativity, build confidence, and discover the joy of performance.
Through a wide range of classes, workshops, and productions, we support performers, creatives, and theatre-makers at every stage of their journey. Whether you're interested in acting, singing, dancing, screen performance, writing, directing, backstage work, costume design, props, or technical theatre, we believe there is a place for everyone in the performing arts.
At the heart of everything we do are our values of inclusivity, creativity, equality, and compassion. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to participate in and enjoy the performing arts, regardless of age, background, or experience.
Our Classes
Our classes are designed to help people discover their potential, develop new skills, and have fun in a supportive environment. From Youth Theatre, Acting for Stage & Screen, and Musical Theatre Dance to Adult Drama & Vocal, Burlesque, Tap, and fitness-based classes, we offer opportunities for performers of all ages and experience levels. Whether you're looking to build confidence, improve your performance skills, make new friends, or simply try something new, our experienced team is here to help you find your voice, nurture your creativity, and become part of our thriving performing arts community.
Our Shows
Alongside our regular classes for children, young people, and adults, we produce a diverse programme of theatrical performances, from family pantomimes and musicals to innovative productions and immersive experiences. We are committed to creating high-quality, accessible theatre that brings communities together and celebrates the transformative power of live performance.

Our vision is to create an empowering platform and space for anyone, regardless of age and experience, to explore their own voice and creativity within a safe and inclusive environment. All of our staff are DBS checked.

Our mission is to provide a relaxed and attentive environment for training in the performing arts through professional workshops for adults and young people, offering our students a greater sense of self-confidence, self-acceptance and community.
